This has always been a dream of mine: help people, and write about all the things that I find inspiring, impressive, noteworthy and interesting. So here I go, hopefully creating a community of people who can share their information thoughts and experiences to help us all understand one another and ourselves.
I worked from the age of fourteen to the age of thirty-seven. Twenty-three years of professional experience is nothing to sneeze at. While I worked hard and always loved working outside the home, it was a secret pipe dream of mine to stay home with my kids.
Then, after some professional turmoil (a long story I will definitely get in to at another time and place), my husband looked at me and admitted, “You know, if we move some things around, and sell off some assets, you don’t really NEED to work.”
This was true, at 37 we were finally financially stable enough to have the kids we didn’t wait until we were 37 to have. And looking at my kids (knowing I only have a few years left to soak-up time before pushing them out of the proverbial nest), I just couldn’t say no to a life long dream. It was a hard decision- believe it or not. I would have to relinquish control. I would have to fully be at the mercy of my husband and whatever God had in store for us. But I’ve taken the leap, and here is where I chronicle my adventures.
